CRITERIA FOR THE COMPILATION OF JUDGES LISTS

 

Al List

 

Judges who have previously been approved by The Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have the support of the Club.

 

A2 List

 

Persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by The Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Club.

 

A3 List

 

Judges who are recommended by the Club for consideration by The Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list

 

Breed Specialists Requirements:

 

1. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged at two Bull Terrier breed club shows.

3. To have judged a minimum of 50 classes.

4. To have judged a minimum of 180 dogs.

5. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances).

6. To have attended a Stage 2 Bull Terrier Breed Judging Seminar  run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

7. To have stewarded at 12 shows.

8. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.

9. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.To have passed a Conformation and Movement Hands on Appraisal conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer.

 

Non SpecialistsRequirements:

 

1. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include

5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged at one Bull Terrier breed club show.

3. To have judged a minimum of 30 classes in this breed.

4. To have judged a minimum of 100 dogs in this breed.

5. To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.

6. To have attended a Stage 2 Bull Terrier Breed Judging Seminar  run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

 

B List

Judges who have been approved by the Club to judge at Shows without CCs or at Open Shows

 

Breed Specialists Requirements:

 

1. To have 7 years experience owning and exhibiting in this breed and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged 20 dogs of this breed.

3. To have attended this Club’s Stage I Bull Terrier Breed Judging Seminar (preferred) or an equivalent seminar organised by another club, such seminars to be run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

Non SpecialistsRequirements:

I To have 7 years judging experience in any breed and have the support of the Club.

2. To have judged 20 dogs of this breed.

3. To have attended this Club’s Stage I Bull Terrier Breed Judging Seminar (preferred) or an equivalent seminar organised by another club, such seminars to be run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

 

C List

Aspirant judges who have the support of the Club to judge at minor shows

 

NB Save in exceptional circumstances judges must have full critiques published in the dog press as a condition for their inclusion on the Club’s lists.
